Castagneto Carducci
is a municipality of 8.204 inhabitants in the province of Livorno. Its toponym derives from the Latin "castanea", chestnut; Castagneto thus meaning chestnut woods. 1900 arrived the adjective "Marittimo" (of the Maremma, from the Latin "Maritima"), which was replaced in 1907 by the current name Carducci, in honor of the Italian poet who lived there a few years as a child.
San Vincenzo
is a municipality of 6.528 inhabitants in the province of Livorno. It is located along the Tyrrhenian coast (also called Etruscan coast) at the beginning of the Tuscan "maremma". Its toponym is to be found for the first time in 1285 and derives from San Vincenzo's Tower, which was built on the coast side by the inhabitants of Pisa, possibly near a church dedicated to San Vincenzo from Saragozza. San Vincenzo is a well-known sea resort.
